The Family Nurturing Center of Central New York, Inc. is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization founded in 1988 to provide parenting education and family support programs.
The Family Nurturing Center offers services that empower parents and children to strengthen their relationships and to meet individual and family needs. The agency also provides training for individuals who work with families, toward the goal of preventing child abuse and building nurturing families.
Participants are served in their own homes, in schools, in community centers, and at the agency's own sites - the Family Place Resource center and Evelyn's House for Young Mothers and Babies..
All of the Family Nurturing Center’s activities are based on the philosophies and objectives of the Nurturing Parenting Program® - a preventative curriculum and strength-based model of empowerment for parents and children.

Nurturing Parenting Program Facilitator Training is offered by Donna LaTour-Elefante (National Trainer) in Utica, NY and by request in other locations.
The Family Nurturing Center's largest community event and fundraiser is the Family of the Year Celebration, held in June every year.
